Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a Geoscientist based in Houston, Texas.
The Cased Hole Formation Evaluation and Well Integrity Geoscientist is expected to bring technical and analytical skills for formation evaluation, cement and casing integrity evaluation to the Geoscience community. The role requires understanding of petro physics and applications of pulsed neutron log analysis, basic cement evaluation processing and reporting. Casing Integrity Evaluation will also be included in the job duties for the candidate. The candidate will be required to interact with stakeholders across multiple product lines, sales, operations and direct customer interaction. An understanding of cased hole completion and configurations is required.
Design and implement well logging programs for specific cased hole formation evaluation purposes and interpret cased hole pulsed neutron data.
Interpretation of cased hole formation evaluation services, cement bond log data to provide cement integrity analysis and reporting
Interpretation of casing integrity log data to provide singular and integrated analysis of casing condition.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary experts, e.g., subsurface experts providing reservoir characterization, equipment experts from completion, and reservoir engineers leading design and evaluation for optimal reservoir recovery
Recognize customer challenges, propose and convince for higher value generating solution, including SVCs (Service Value Combinations), for both the customer and BHGE
Stay up to date on the BHGE technology and services and leverage opportunities to incorporate them in the integrated workflows. Grounded on the latest client activities, competitor directions, and industry trends in their respective Geomarket
Thought leadership both internally and externally through publishing and presenting in professional forums to promote recognition as technical expert
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, or related Geoscience discipline
Experience of managing multiple stakeholders; internally and externally at both technical and executive level
Individual contributor that can demonstrate strong teaming skills to work across various BHGE internal and external organizations
Strong presentation, communication skills - written, verbal and presentation.
Self-motivated and can operate with minimal supervision
Master’s Degree preferred
1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Project management skills
Be confident, flexible and adaptable and perform under stress when required
