We provide the opportunity to grow professionally and develop your career at one of the world’s leading international energy companies. At Repsol, you will work on challenging projects with some of the best and brightest of your peers in the energy industry.
Functions and Responsibilities
Undertake regional exploration mapping and play evaluations.
Mapping regional to sub regional exploration plays.
Performing integrated 2D/3D seismic interpretation to define tectonic and stratigraphic frameworks and geological models for exploration.
Synthesize and integrate varied subsurface data to understand key play and prospect components (e.g., source, migration, reservoir, trap, and seal).
Geological seismic mapping for leads and prospects identification and maturation to drillable prospect status.
Assist in leads and prospects characterizations, including technical case, critical risk factors, and resource potential.
Participating on the interpretation of rock properties, log data and seismic data, reservoir characterization through quantitative inversion processes and prospect evaluation using seismic and non-seismic techniques.
Interpret sequence stratigraphic and environmental architecture from seismic, well-logs, biostratigraphy, and core.
Prepare well proposal and well post-mortem documents following Repsol standards.
Actively participating in 3D depth seismic reprocessing with the Repsol Geophysics Team.
Participating in Farm-In/Farm-out opportunities and support technical assessments and recommendations to management.
Prepare and present technical work for Repsol internal review processes including Exploration Quality Assurance and Exploration Resource Control.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary exploration team and with engineering counterparts in the Business Unit.

A Bachelor’s degree with strong relevant experience will also be considered.
5 - 7 years of experience, with relevant exploration and seismic interpretation experience.
Experience with basin scale exploration studies and play evaluations.
Experience in prospect maturation, risking, and volumetric assessment.
Knowledge of sequence stratigraphic interpretation methods.
Experience with seismic calibration, quantitative interpretation studies and techniques, seismic inversion, attribute techniques, and the use of rock property and quantitative interpretation software such as Hampson-Russell, Stratimagic, Voxelgeo or similar.
The ability to solve problems creatively and work under limited supervision.
High motivation, pragmatism and flexibility to adapt work practices to meet aggressive project timelines providing high quality work products.
