Our Client is among the largest producers of oil and clean-burning natural gas in Colorado. They are currently in need of an experienced Sr Geoscience Technologist.
This position is located in Denver, CO as a member of the Wyoming/Utah/Land Grant Group.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
Five (5) + years relevant Oil and Gas experience preferably in a G&G; department preferred.
Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and good interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of well data, production, LAS, directional surveys, flow back information, and interpretation data.
Computer skills should include all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Access, and a demonstrated ability to learn new applications quickly.
Good understanding of coordinate projects and conversions.
Experience with DSG/OpenWorks, Petra, Petrosys, PDS, IHS Enerdeq, Petrel and ArcGIS/ArcMap.
Must have ability to successfully interact with other departments and service companies.
Dependable and able to work independently.
Familiar with all digital data formats.
Perform data quality control on various well data types.
Update projects, Data Stores and tracking tool with incoming operated, non-operation data, and trade data.
Contact partners concerning well information delivery.
Help geoscientists with G&G; application support and data issues.
Assist geoscientist activities to meet cost monitoring and cost control goals.
Maintain G&G; projects with well and production updates, error checks, and imports.
Export data to and from various software applications and data stores.
Collaborate with other disciplines and/or departments on projects.
Generate maps for business needs.
A minimum of (eight) 8 years of experience and High School diploma or GED required Or a minimum of (four) 4 years of experience plus a B.S., B.A. degree in Science, IT, Geology or Mathematics.
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
