Geophysics Summer Student
Calgary Office
This 4-month summer student position will provide a well-rounded Geoscience experience with opportunities to learn about multiple roles. The position will commence on May 6, 2019, and is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with your mentor and team to complete a relevant geophysical project that will add value to Devon Canada: comprising geological/geophysical modeling and geophysical processing and interpretation
Integrate your work with geology and engineering disciplines to develop methods to analyze the subsurface.
Develop geophysical capabilities to support production monitoring, geomechanics, and clastic sedimentology.
Learn new software applications, seismic processing, and inversion methods.
Present your project results in several meetings to your team, manager, and a group of senior geotechnical individuals
Qualifications
You will have completed third year Geophysics in an Earth Science program at a Canadian University by May 2019; or you are returning in the fall of 2019 to pursue a Masters or PHD in Geology
