We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Geophysicist with our Permian Enhanced Oil Recovery Team. You will join a team focused on maximizing production and growth in water and CO2 flooded conventional carbonate reservoirs utilizing detailed reservoir characterization and modeling. Responsibilities include:
Working with geologists, petrophysicists, and engineers to incorporate seismic interpretations into field development and modeling workflows. Seismic interpretation and mapping are the primary responsibilities, with variable additional duties in depth conversion, seismic reprocessing, and QI (e.g. inversion).

Interpretation oriented geophysicist with Master’s Degree in Geology or Geophysics.8+ years or more of petroleum industry experience.Experience in seismic interpretation at basin, play, prospect, and field levels.Experience with 2D and 3D interpretation in both high-density and sparse data environments.Permian Basin experience.Skilled in geological interpretation of seismic data including fracture assessment and sequence stratigraphy.A working understanding of seismic acquisition and processing and its impact on data confidence and the interpretation process.Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet critical deadlines.Creative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologies.Team player with strong interpersonal skills and experience in a multi-discipline team environment.Possess analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex material effectively.

Additional Desired Qualifications
Application of geophysics in both conventional and unconventional play evaluationExperience in well planning and drilling operationsUnderstanding of petrophysical interpretation and reservoir modelingExperience using Landmark/Openworks, Hampson Russell, and Petrel software.
