For one of Our Clients in Trondheim we are looking for Geophysicist- Norwegian Sea Exploration team to provide support for a variety of Our Clients Activities.

Location: Trondheim (preferably), Oslo/Harstad – need to be able to work remotely with team

Duties and responsibilities

All principal tasks are related to prospect identification and assessment.
Generalists and specialists are all encouraged to apply with competence in all or parts of activities below

Coordination and execution of geophysical work in exploration licenses and access to new acreage
Planning and execution of geophysical data acquisition and processing
Prospect identification and evaluation, volume and risk assessment
Seismic Interpretation and depth conversion
Seismic AVO and quantitative seismic reservoir characterization
Ensure that all work, tasks and projects within his/her area of responsibility is carried out to achieve the overall objectives for the regions. These include HSE, technical integrity, compliance and cost
Coaching and mentoring of junior staff

Qualifications

Good communication skills to external parties and upper management
Ability to effectively work and integrate across the subsurface disciplines
Continuously build on our corporate knowledge base for new innovative prospect generation
Competence required: Seismic interpretation and analysis
Proven E&P; track record or significant contributions
Minimum M.Sc. and geophysical experience within oil and gas exploration or production
Personal qualities

Good analytical skills and critical thinking, capable of individual problem solution
Seeks self development, and coaches others to improve their skills

Requirement for language proficiency in Norwegian and English (both written and verbal)
