This is a permanent and residential position based in the Head Office and offering a comprehensive expat benefits package along with family status.
Scope of Work
Responsible of the well targets of the UDR asset witch is including:
Local interpretation of under-developed reservoirs including Lower Khatiya, Mauddud, Hith, Arab and Araej.
Reconcile and adjust fault interpretation integrating GVR, losses, variance and conformance issue information
Integrate all seismic attributes inputs including inversions volumes.
Integrate the 4D (if available in the area of interest).
Depth conversion at multiple reservoir levels providing the necessary interpretation to the Geophysical discipline.
Do some reservoir characterization including a fault characterization (from future OBN data in particular).
Perform exploration work to support the appraisal program
In charge of the geophysics for the SOR process for the UDR Team.
Provide the seismic interpretation and well target definition for the appraisal program
Contribute to the phase II development phase maturation.
In charge of geophysics for the UDR asset for any potential model update.
Contribute to the development of external communications within the geophysical and reservoir community.
Have a transversal role between assets / discipline
Must integrate cost & economic dimensions in any decision.
Environment is the asset Team with a transversal organization with Disciplines.
Development of Qatari nationals
Master Degree or Bachelor Degree with relevant industry experience in geophysics discipline or other relevant technical discipline qualification
Minimum 8-12 years of experience required
Previous experience on carbonate reservoirs is required
International experience is recommended
Deep knowledge of seismic interpretation.
Must have worked on target selection with deep understanding on static model and good knowledge on dynamic model.
Good knowledge of geology
Good knowledge of dynamic parameters.
Good knowledge in signal processing.
Good knowledge in physics / rock physics.
4D interpretation is recommended
Must be fluent in English
Very good communication skills
Source of innovation
Previous working experience in geophysics R&D or reservoir construction model would be a bonus.
