Working in a multi-disciplinary team of geologists, petrophysicists, drillers, landmen and reservoir and completions engineers, you will provide ongoing geophysical expertise to allow the team to establish and execute a top quartile integrated plan of development. You will be expected to provide structural, stratigraphic and hazard interpretations to support the initial planning stages and continuously update the geophysical understanding of the development opportunity, with associated uncertainties, through to the geosteering and well completion stages. All geophysical deliverables must be produced according to best practices standards.
Provide the necessary geophysical/geological input to allow for optimal reservoir development.Provide the necessary geophysical/geological input to explore and appraise for new play opportunities.Structural and stratigraphic interpretation and analysis of 2D & 3D seismic data, velocity modelling and depth conversion, seismic attribute analysis, borehole and micro seismic interpretation, and advanced geophysical studies relevant to reservoir characterization.Contribute to acquisition planning, contractor bid selection and program execution.Participate in the workflow design and the quality control of third party seismic processing contracts. Establish and maintain internal BPX networks through community of practices and special subsurface forum groups.Remain current in industry technology advancements.Know and apply BPX HSE and Ethics standards and policies.
MS Degree in Geoscience, preferably with MS in Geophysics
Essential experience and job requirements
3+ years’ experience with a focus on the geophysical related activities described above.Proven high performance working in a multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced environment.Proven forward looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and innovative solutions

Desirable criteria & qualifications
Previous experience with DecisionSpace Geosciences software would be a benefit. Familiarity with quantitative interpretation methods and best practices would be a benefit.Experience in unconventional reservoirs, particularly the Eagleford or Permian plays would be desirable.
