2D and 3D seismic interpretation
Provide and maintain sound geophysical models (structural and/or stratigraphic) and prepare integrated seismic interpretations in assigned areas/fields for the purpose of planning, designing and optimizing development/appraisal/near field well drilling programs and field development plans.
Work closely with geologist, petrophysicist and engineers to integrate seismic data into the reservoir models.
Generate seismic — well ties.
Provide two way time structural mapping on 2D and 3D seismic data and time to depth conversion.
Understanding of seismic processing techniques, AVO, DHI and other petrophysical modelling techniques.
Apply sequence stratigraphic principles to seismic interpretation.
Identify and mature new drilling opportunities and use appropriate geophysical tools to de-risk the target.
Understanding of data acquisition and processing works to obtain a detailed interpreted image of the producing reservoir that is consistent with production data.
Assess and quantify key geophysical uncertainties and their impact on future development activities.
Fully document all work products, ensure the interpreted data is properly captured, the relevant databases are updated, and models are properly archived for future re-use.
Provide reservoir geophysical project management, including scoping of projects and contractor contributions.
Actively take on a coaching role for young geophysicists in the correct application of all geophysics-related matters and the proper integration of other discipline data into deliverables.
Coordinating with exploration to properly plan and locate appraisal wells.
Provide preliminary “quick look” geophysical updating after drilling of appraisal/development wells.
Participate in data room and support acquisition/sale opportunities.
At least 5 years relevant oil industry experience with some or all with an operator essential.
Solid background in Development Geophysics.
Minimum Education: BS in Geophysics or equivalents. Advanced Degree Preferred.
Ability to produce high quality seismic interpretation products in a business driven environment.
Knowledge of seismic field acquisition (both design and contracting Process) and processing and their impact on seismic interpretation.
Experience with various visualization tools, volume-based interpretation and the use of seismic attributes to enhance reservoir characterization study.
Experience with different depth conversion techniques and the generation of probabilistic gross rock volume estimates.
Familiar with Well Planning and Field Development Planning processes.
Candidate should be familiar with Geoframe (IESX/Charisma) or Petrel.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills essential; must be able to convey information and ideas through presentations and reports in a clear manner that engages the audience and helps them to understand the technical issues involved
Working level of English, native Russian

Confidence to tackle areas outside their comfort zone, merging their own skills with contributions from colleagues in other disciplines to resolve complex, multi-faceted problems.
