This position is responsible for generating drillable prospects, evaluating outside deals, and providing regional geological framework. This position will work in a multidisciplinary group of professionals involved in the identification of new acreage for capture, comparison regionally and globally to other opportunities, as well as detailed evaluation and assessment of new exploration opportunities.
Identify and generate high quality opportunities for investment consideration and to balance sound business judgment with excellent technical skills
Utilize advanced seismic techniques of seismic attribute analysis to determine reservoir distribution, quality and fluid content
Prospect maturation with thorough petroleum systems evaluation, detailed prospect mapping, risking and resource determination and assisting with Exploration Plan submissions
Prepare and deliver internal and external technical presentations to peers and management
Ability to interpret in Landmark, generate internal prospects, evaluate external prospects, and promote same.
Understanding of geophysical techniques including seismic acquisition, seismic processing, & AVO.
Advanced degree in Geology/Geosciences preferably with a concentration in Hydrogeochemistry
Minimum 3 years of seismic data processing including experience with hydrology analysis of near surface structure and ground water systems
Proficiency with Landmark Decision Space interpretation software, Hampson Rusell, Transform and ArcMap
