Helps prepare invention summaries and disclosuresReviews prior art, patents, publications, competing productsSupports all manners of IP-related work, with reports, summaries, and presentationsSupports senior geophysicists in documenting past and present research, organizes and maintains geo research archivesWorks with the geophysics team to support R&D; efforts in tactical tasks and related independent projects supporting research and product developmentAids geophysics team by preparing reports, performing computations, modeling, and developing workflows and algorithmsSummaryThis is an entry-level, full-time position requiring a solid background in geophysics, a curious, analytical mind, insatiable appetite to learn, grow and problem solve, with a keen interest in intellectual property (patents) and attention to detail.The new hire will support geophysics work, research and new product development with a high emphasis on support for developing new intellectual property for Seismos. S/he will act as a liaison within geophysics team, between product delivery and product development. S/he will get exposure to all aspects of the geophysics work, workflows, and documentation. Once trained within geophysics grouop, primary duties will be related to intellectual property prosecution as assigned. Secondary duties will be in the geophysics group, straddling R&D; and product delivery.
