The Reservoir Characterization Department is seeking a top Geomechanics Specialist to contribute to the advancement in reservoir geomechanics for oil and gas fields.
You will have proven expertise in 1D and 3D/4D geomechanic modeling, geomechanic forward modeling, structural restoration, and wellbore stability analysis.
As the successful candidate, you will have a bachelors’ degree in geology or geophysics. It is preferred that you have a master’s degree or a Ph.D.
You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop and build one-dimensional mechanical earth models and wellbore stability studies.
Support drilling operations through planning well trajectories of wells with wellbore stability analysis for inclined and horizontal wells with geomechanical and wellbore stability studies.
Contribute to R&D studies related to rock strength analysis and geological stress studies.
Formulate geomechanical contributions for exploration, appraisal, and developed reservoirs.
Extract stress anisotropies, orientations, and magnitudes by the analysis of well data and drilling parameters.
Predict and model natural fracture distribution using image logs, acoustic logs, drilling records, and seismic attributes.
Manage all geomechanical projects related to the asset teams and perform hydraulic fracturing modeling.
Integrate geomechanic solutions with other domains in the FDP team.
Provide active mentoring to the technical community, exploration geoscientists, and/or technicians assigned to work on a common project. Auto req ID 16352BR
