GEOLOGIST/LANDMANA rural property management company located in Evansville, IN, that primarily manages farm properties, including mineral interests and timber resources, has an opening and is receiving resumes for a Minerals Manager position. The properties managed are primarily located in southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois within a hundred miles of Grayville, IL and within the Illinois Basin Geological Structure. The farmland is primarily row-crop agricultural activities on leases with farm operators. The mineral interest is mainly oil and some coal.Responsibilities of the Geologist/Landman position include but are not limited to:Work with various individuals responding to requests for new oil & gas leases and coal leases for the company.Monitor the compliance of the terms of the lease by the lessee.Visit oil drilling sites or coal mine sites and meet with appropriate representatives to ensure proper work is being performed.Coordinate with internal farm manager(s) on oil related activity that may affect farming operations.Work with active & inactive operators on lease cleanup, plugging & restoring wells, etc.Participate and attend in area Oil & Gas Association meetings and activities.Prepare and present to company’s Board of Directors & Shareholders mineral activity biannually.Communications with shareholders and officers of the company.Coordinate annual Oil & Coal valuations and updates.Mineral budget projections.Responsible for coordinating insurance coverage & policy renewals.Additional responsibilities as needed as part of the company’s team efforts.Background/Experience:Strong written and oral communication a mustCandidates should possess a 4-year college degree and 5+ years of experience preferredCandidates with a background as Petroleum Geologist, Petroleum Engineer, or Landman may best fit the position.Job Type: Full-timeExperience:Geology or Landman: 5 years (Preferred)Education:Bachelor's (Preferred)Additional Compensation:BonusesBenefits offered:Paid time offHealth insuranceDental insuranceRetirement benefits or accountsOther types of insurance
