KeyLogic has an immediate need for an experienced Geologist/Engineer to join our Energy Division.
Position Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
High degree of intellectual and analytical skills
Ability to quickly learn and assess new technologies related to subsurface monitoring, geologic modeling, and wellbore integrity
Direct technical expertise in geology/subsurface with an emphasis in one or more of the following areas
oil/gas/deep drilling
sedimentary systems
petroleum geology
Experience in an R & D project environment
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Tableau, in addition to geologic modeling software (PETREL, RockWorks, etc.)
Ability to work independently, as well as in a structured team environment with federal and other technical service contractors
Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
Very strong presentation and written communication skills
The ability to communicate scientific and technical concepts effectively in reports and technical documents
Strong desire to learn and research topics related to carbon storage and oil & gas operations
Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations relating to the injection and extraction of fluids from the subsurface
Position Responsibilities:
Performing technical assessments related to oil & gas operations, and geologic characterization research
Review and interpret data from geophysical logs, cores, and fluid samples
Make recommendations on administrative or project work matters and ensure achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives
Interact with Federal client and subcontractors
Prepare technical summary reports, graphs and tables, communication products, and articles based on research projects related to the subsurface
Participate in the critical review of technical project proposals related to the subsurface
