POSITION: Senior Geologist
REPORTS TO: Asset Manager
COMPANY/DEPARTMENT: Endeavor Energy Resources, LP
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Exempt, Full-Time

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will play a significant role in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative effort to achieve exploration and development goals. This individual will work with the Geology, Engineering and Assessment team to evaluate and generate prospects within areas of responsibility and recommend appropriate exploration action.

Major Functions and Scope:

  • Interpret  and evaluate well data to construct integrated maps, cross sections, and other geological displays to identify and evaluate additional opportunities
  • Work closely with a team of Geologists, Reservoir and Production Engineers and Geoscience Specialists to integrate seismic interpretation with data sets including reservoir behavior and well performance
  • Meet all project schedules, deliverables and milestones as outlined in work plans
  • Assist in mentoring and on-the-job training of less experienced team members
  • Actively participate in data acquisition, interpretation and application
  • Recommend forecasted drilling sites and growth opportunities to management

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology required
  • Master’s Degree in Geology preferred
  • Proven capability to support unconventional assets, and design, manage and interpret geologic data acquisition programs
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ oil and gas Geologist experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ horizontal steering experience
  • Familiarity of the Permian Basin preferred
  • Demonstrated motivational, organizational and reasoning skills
  • Capability to work effectively with cross-discipline professionals and all levels of the team
  • Documented ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information
