SUMMARY
U.S Energy Development Corporation is actively seeking an experienced Geologist for a position in our Arlington, TX office. The incumbent will report directly to the V.P. of Geology and can look forward to working on multi-disciplined assignments within the Geosciences group and will be responsible for multifaceted duties related to the company's current prospect inventory as well as developing new prospect/play ideas.  U.S. Energy is very active in acquisitions therefore the primary responsibilities will also include industry deal screening and A&D; evaluation within company focus areas. The individual will be required to handle multiple geological projects in various basins and perform high quality, integrated project evaluations (operated and non-operated) in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Interpret and/or generate appropriate maps utilizing subsurface and/or seismic data for project evaluation.
Screen and evaluate industry generated prospects.
Screen and evaluate acquisition and divestiture opportunities.
Candidate will be the responsible geologist during drilling operations.
Ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands, and assess and manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Perform workstation interpretation on company projects.
Perform well log interpretations.
Ability to prepare and effectively communicate technical information and recommendations to management.
Ability to build and develop industry contacts in an effort to evaluate and potentially acquire new project areas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

M.S. in Geology preferred.
5+ years of experience in E&P.;
Permian and/or Eagle Ford experience is preferred.
Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including Petra or an equivalent geological interpretation program.

Candidate must be a driven individual motivated to succeed.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines, sometimes for extended periods of time.
Ability to multi-task and manage several on-going projects at the same time.
