Exploro is looking for a Geologist and a Petrophysicist to join our multi-disciplinary team in Trondheim/Oslo. The job positions require a highly motivated individual that works efficiently with other geoscience specialists formulating new concepts, ideas and solutions. Geologist We are seeking a Geologist in Exploro AS to work in multi-disciplinary geological projects, that is willing to integrate her/his strong competence in seismic interpretation within our dedicated team and to unravel both regional and small-scale geological challenges. You will be also involved in client specific request, to execute geological work in exploration licenses including prospect identification and assessment evaluation. Key responsibilities: Seismic interpretation Seismostratigraphic facies mapping and sequence stratigraphy analysisIntegration of well data, seismic interpretation and geophysical work to build structural/geological models, play models and GDEContribute and perform specific work related to license/prospect workDatabase management Mentoring junior staff Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience Be able to perform seismic interpretation and well analysesSpecialised within one or more of the following disciplines: sedimentology, structural geology, geophysicsWorking knowledge of the Norwegian marginProspect/License experienceAbility to effectively work and integrate multiple disciplines to solve complex problemsMaster’s Degree or higher in geosciences (preferable at PhD-level)Can work in high pressure situations and deliver within deadlines Ability to work effectively in a team and alone Good communication skills, generate geoscientific presentation materials and reports Possess a valid Norwegian working permit PetrophysicistWe are now seeking a Petrophysicist in Exploro AS to work in multi-disciplinary geological projects that are willing to integrate her/his strong competence within our dedicated team and to unravel both regional and small-scale geological challenges. Key responsibilities: Execute and supervise petrophysical interpretation Perform and supervise rock physics analysis Provide and effectively communicate petrophysical support to other geoscience disciplines Integration of core data with log data Reservoir characterization Carry out multi-well petrophysical correlations Contribute to create, maintaining and quality control the well databases Experience with Interactive Petrophysics (IP) or other relevant software Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of relevant experience Master’s Degree or higher in geosciences (preferable at PhD-level)Working knowledge of the Norwegian marginAbility to effectively work and integrate complex tasks across the subsurface disciplines Can work in high pressure situations and deliver within deadlines Track record of new innovative analysis generation Ability to work effectively in a team and alone Experience with database management Good communication skills, generate geoscientific presentation materials and reports Possess a valid Norwegian working permit Must be fluent in Norwegian Personal qualities for Geologist and Petrophysicist:Honest and reliable Highly motivated and well organized Good analytical, critical and problem-solving skills Seeks self-development and improvement, and coaches others to improve their skills We offer salaries that are competitive within the private sector.
