JOB TITLE : Senior Geologist – 3 month assignment
Candidate will be responsible for working on and preparing an intensive research project involving major shale oil, gas depositions and reservoir evaluation. Through collaboration with colleagues and peers, candidate will gather a variety of data and research findings to be included in the necessary research project.
Provide leading subject matter expertise in geology with emphasis in petroleum systems and unconventional reservoir properties.
Manage and lead technical exchanges, networking and industry collaborations for the project with both internal and external partners.
Will be responsible for preparing senior level technical reports and presentations.
Must complete quality projects timely and within constraints of budget requirements.
Must utilize senior level geological experience to convey technical findings through a variety of presentation material, to teammates, and Leadership team.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Minimum 15 years of industry E&P; related experience is required.
Should have progressive experience with R&D; and/or field responsibilities.
Must have a demonstrated ability to show competence in the field of Geology and Geoscience.
Good verbal and written communication, and team work skills, and ability to accomplish high quality and high standard work/report.
Communicate technical data through preparation and presentation of clear, concise, and persuasive reports and presentations.
Ability to track, analyze new technology trends, and write clear in-depth reports.
Ability to prioritize work and stay organized.
Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently.
Team player with good interpersonal communication skills.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, LICENSES and EXPERIENCE:
Ph.D/Master’s Degree, is required, majoring in Geology (or similar discipline) from an accredited university.
Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience working in geology and/or geoscience field and at least 5 years in R&D.;
Must have work experience within the oil and gas industry.
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record, or have the ability to obtain one.
