A Geological Technician is needed on a full-time basis. Key deliverables of the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Database Management
o Maintaining, updating, and quality control management of IHS Petra and/or GeoGraphix databases including well and production information, as well as cultural information
o Creation of new IHS Petra and/or GeoGraphix databases and projects as needed
o Retrieving, cataloging, compiling and analyzing drilling and completion data from IHS, DrillingInfo, State, and other sources into useable databases
o Experience maintaining, updating, and quality control management of IHS Kingdom seismic projects, including project creation as needed is preferred
Mapping and Subsurface Interpretation Assistance
o Gathering, compiling, and assisting in the analysis of subsurface data and well information including drilling and completions data and production
o Assisting in the creation of subsurface maps and cross-sections
o Assisting in the creation of surface maps and other displays in support of permitting and regulatory efforts
o Assisting in the creation of and updating leasehold maps and other displays
Regulatory/Environmental Filing
o Assist in the preparation and submission of all state required forms for all phases of drilling, completions, and production

The following skills and behaviors are preferred:
o BS in geosciences and a minimum of 5 years’ geological technician experience
o IHS Petra, IHS Kingdom, ArcGIS, and MS Office applications expertise

GeoGraphix expertise has secondary preference

o The ability to grid geologic and other well data to aid in the construction of geologic maps and cross-sections
o Willingness to learn new software, applications, and skills as needed
o The ability to prioritize work and multi-task
o The ability to work well with other team members in a positive, collaborative manner
o The ability to complete work in a timely manner without the need for continuous oversight or direction
o Professionalism, workmanship, and ‘ownership’ of work duties and work products

This is a full time benefit position. Relocation benefits are not offered for this position.
