CIVIL & ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICE
Michael Baker International’s civil engineering professionals manage and staff active projects in over 40 countries on five continents. Services are provided for a broad range of projects and capabilities, including highways, airports, bridges, rail and transit systems, government and commercial facilities, water and wastewater infrastructure, oil and gas infrastructure, and commercial/urban development. Our fields of expertise span all areas of civil engineering and include an extensive variety of specialty disciplines, such as environmental compliance and restoration, coastal engineering, urban development, and mining.
Michael Baker is recruiting for a Geotechnical Associate to work in our Moon Township, PA office.
The successful candidate will support civil, environmental, and geotechnical projects which involve field exploration, laboratory analyses, design, construction monitoring, construction quality control/assurance (CQA/CQC).
Must be familiar with laboratory data interpretation, geologic and geotechnical concepts and software and willing to travel as needed to project sites and work outdoors under a variety of conditions.
BS in Civil Engineering (emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering), or Engineering Geology or Geology (Geotechnical focus preferred); graduate level courses a plus;
0-3 years’ experience working on geotechnical projects, including field work. Multi-discipline experience a plus;
EIT or GIT registration;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and geotechnical software.
