Primary Role Focus

The Fracture Science Reservoir/Production Engineer will be a member of the Packers Plus Fracture Sciences Group, based in Louisville, CO. Operating independently they will handle a broad scope of global assignments. Primary focus will be on reservoir analysis relating to hydraulic fracturing optimization, especially multistage horizontal fracture treatments.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Numerical simulation of fluid flow behavior and reservoir physical properties
  • PTA, PLT, well test, and hydraulic fracture performance evaluations
  • Provide stimulation flowback recommendations.
  • Competent using reservoir simulation software for production forecasting, hydraulic fracture SRV and economic modeling
  • Evaluation of wellbore landing parameters
  • Working knowledge of ICD technology
  • PVT analysis
  • Provide technical services support for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to the RTD Engineering and Technical Services departments as required
  • Author professional papers, case history studies on client wells against offsets and any relative milestones of products and services
  • Perform internal, client and public presentations, assist in sales calls, lunch and learns, and training
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing and sales teams
  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and trade shows
  • Knowledge of core testing and fluid sensitivity.

  • At least 15 years working in oil and gas industry
  • Must have proven track record in unconventional resource exploitation
  • Knowledge of major multi-phase reservoir simulation software
  • Ability to utilize Nodal Analysis software
  • Detailed knowledge of well completions and construction
  • Practical knowledge/experience in downhole tools and fracture stimulation
  • Familiarity with industry proppant and fluid technology
