Job Summary:
This position is responsible for completing daily truck routes to pick-up community food donations and deliver food orders to partner agencies. The Route Driver/Warehouse Tech represents the Food Reservoir in the community, as the main driver of the Reservoir's straight line truck, and daily interaction with retail food donors and Food Reservoir partner agencies. This position must complete all tasks following Feeding America, AIB International, and Food Reservoir food safety and safe driving requirements and documentation. This position also activity participates in all areas of the day-to-day warehouse facility operation to ensure a safe, efficient and friendly environment.
Education and/or Experience:
1 year related experience, preferably in driving/delivery or warehousing.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and customer orders.
Work experience that demonstrates the ability to follow and communicate instructions as well as the ability to solve practical problems with flexibility.
Work experience that demonstrates excellent customer service skills and paperwork organization/management.
Experience operating a forklift and electric pallet jack.
Forklift Certification is required.
Valid Commercial Driver's License and clean driving record required.
Hours and Wage:
Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:30pm; $18.15/hour
