Role Summary

BHGE Microseismic Group in France provides comprehensive microseismic monitoring solutions to the industry worldwide. It operates in the oil & gas, geothermal, solution mining and civil engineering markets. In a context of an evolving regulation framework, it manages customer underground activities that have the potential to induce seismicity, from microseisms to human-felt earthquakes.

We are looking to hire a dynamic, creative, and resourceful candidate for BHGE core microseismic processing group in Sainte-Tulle, France, to install, test and maintain seismic network equipment on Clients sites worldwide.

Responsibilities
Plan, follow-up and report deployment operations in compliance with HSE policy.
Install different type of seismic networks: surface sensors, borehole tools, digitizing stations, networking hardware involving various communication means (3G/4G, Wi-Fi, Satellite…).
Maintain the seismic networks including instrumentation troubleshooting, data download and telemetry.
Examine quality of data, network health status.
Streamline the equipment procurement and integration/validation testing processes.
Implement system engineering tools & methodology.
Coordinate with Customers and Providers as well as third party engineers when completing maintenance and equipment installations.
Requirements
Bachelor or Diploma in Engineering (any of electronic, telecom, electrical)
Experienced in handling seismic or other geophysical instruments.
Demonstrated record of hands-on experience in field installation operations.
Comfortable with frequent and extensive travel to remote places.
Preferred Skills
A strong sense of team work and capability to work with people of diverse cultural, ethnic and national backgrounds.
Experience in system engineering, networking architecture.
