Externship Program OverviewProline's externship training is a 6-month (24 Weeks) program for recent Petroleum Engineering graduates in Houston, Texas. This opportunity will only consider local and recent 2017/2018 graduates.The training program will focus on different aspects of the Oil and Gas business including: Operations, Engineering, Regulatory and Accounting. The candidates will be training in a fast-paced environment and provided with a lot of responsibilities and are expected to assist with new and developing projects as well as to contribute to existing projects. All externs are paired with a Supervisor or Mentor whose primary role is to provide guidance, assistance and encouragement. At the end of the program, externs will be equipped to assess their potential career interest with Proline and to determine if Proline is indeed the right fit for you.Prior to beginning an externship assignment, all externs will be required to meet the pre-employment eligibility and enrollment requirements as well as to participate in Proline’s pre-employment screening requirements. All externs will be provided with a copy of the Proline Employee Manual and prior to commencing, must complete and sign all pre-employment paper work and all relevant forms and acknowledgments, including but not limited to, personnel policy acknowledgement, harassment, nondiscrimination, and waiver of liability release form (as applicable).Additionally, externs will be provided with:· A detailed orientation and on-boarding process· A formal job description with an outline of the job duties, goals and expectations· A structured program with exposure to projects and real-life work experience· A direct Supervisor and Mentor to provide extern with any and all relevant information to enable and foster a successful experience· Department-specific policies and procedures· Access to a network of industry-leading professionals· Ongoing feedback and evaluation on how they are meeting the goals and expectations of the position.· A work environment that will prepare you for career growth and successUpon the completion of the 6 months program, there could potentially be an offer to extend the training or convert to a permanent staff, solely based on performance and business needs at the discretion of Proline, however, this is not guaranteed.QUALIFICATIONSExternship positions require a motivated individual with good communication skills, great work ethics and the ability to work well in a team. Preference will be given to individuals with a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering.POSITION SUMMARY:6-month Externship Program (24 Weeks). Extern to be introduced to different aspects of the business:· Operationso Participate in weekly operations meeting and perform delegated taskso Review daily production reports to help optimize the wellso Support field staff as required· Engineeringo Perform engineering analysis, including but not limited to decline curve analysis, reserve estimation and well log analysiso Create well history fileso Update well bore diagramso Participate in production history database creation and maintenance, as required· Accountingo Support accounting staff with production allocationso Support accounting staff with production auditing, as requiredo Support with vendor maintenance, as requiredo Provide technical assistance to the accounting team, if and as required· Regulatoryo Performs tasks, as assigned, to ensure well complianceo File required state reportso Explore public databases to extract the required dataPROGRAM REQUIREMENTSExterns must complete an externship application and externship agreement and must meet the pre-employment training and enrollment requirements. Externs must sign a Waiver of Liability Release, agreeing to assume any risk of injury that may occur while rendering services to Proline. The externship application, resume, and signed internship agreement will be kept on file by the Human Resources Department.Additionally, all externs must be:· A citizen of the United States, or, must be legally authorized to work or study in the United States.
