Opportunity for an experienced Exploration Manager to join a leading Oil and Gas Company on a permanent contract in the Persian Gulf Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating Company's growth strategy and managing technical and operational performance of exploration projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Establishing and participating in screening and evaluation of international upstream opportunities in coordination with Commercial and Business Development.
*Managing input to the Team's work program and budget and the Section and Department's Business and Operating Plans.
*Adhering to and implementing the Company's occupational safety and health and environment policy effectively in all of his work.
*Planning and managing Our Client's international global prospects generation through basin analysis and detailed work to identify a robust, properly risked and ranked international prospects portfolio.
*Recommending and coordinating execution of feasible organic growth opportunities in close collaboration with Commercial and Business Development and in line with corporate strategy.
*Coordinating execution of feasible inorganic growth and corporate acquisition opportunities by working closely with Commercial and Business Development to screen, evaluate and negotiate potential target opportunities and companies.
*Managing and coordinating all aspects of international exploration and appraisal activities in the company's operated and non-operated areas.
*Providing strong technical leadership in evaluations of licensing round and farm-in opportunities and manage integration of projects into the Global Exploration processes.
*Ensuring that all areas of Our Client's International Upstream interest are evaluated to the highest technical standard within the time frame required of the work program.
*Managing the interpretation and integration of geophysical, geological and engineering information at basin, play and prospect scale to deliver the highest quality interpretation products, including quality control and overall integration of all relevant geoscience studies/results from contributing specialists; as well as apply regional understanding to the definition and risking of basins and plays.
*Following up potential areas through to maturing prospects to drillable prospects and identify drilling location, prepare well proposal with all relevant documents, publications and proper justifications and follow up drilling operation and evaluation. Also conducting post drilling evaluation of exploration drilling results and incorporates these findings into a continuously updated prospects evaluation reports.
*Assessing and evaluating hydrocarbon in place for undeveloped and newly discovered reservoirs and propose and follow up proper appraisal plan as input for an integrated techno-commercial evaluation and recommend development decisions.
*Managing and monitoring the activities of service companies and consultants and evaluates the results of their work for quality assurance and cost-effectiveness.
*Ensuring the provision of a regular flow of information and advice to Management on geological and geophysical aspects of the Company's activities, and also ensure presence of an integrated team of professionals to carry out all geological and geophysical activities.
*Ensuring timely preparation of various documents, data and reports necessary to obtain management and shareholders' approval of proposals and activities including business plans, operating plans and work program and budget.
The ideal Candidate will have:
*BSc/Bachelor Degree in Geosciences, Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering or related field.
*Postgraduate Degree and commercial and business training or certification will be an advantage.
*15 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience.
*Knowledge of international energy plays and players and global M&A market.
*Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills.
*Excellent command of English language and communication skills.
