The Eastern Area Exploration and Red Sea Exploration departments are seeking top Prospect Generators with strong seismic stratigraphy and attribute analysis experience to join their world-class team.The successful applicant will be seasoned in prospect generation, and have expertise in clastic and/or seismic stratigraphy.You will have strong abilities in the generation and use of seismic attribute analysis for lithology, porosity, and fluid type prediction. Or you will have a proven track record working on large wells and seismic datasets, have experience of sequence stratigraphic well correlation, and sedimentary facies prediction.
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop strong leads, generate prospects, mature these prospects; and work within a multidisciplinary team
Manage advanced sequence and stratigraphic analysis using G&G applications. This will include visualization, integration of various G&G datasets, and chronostratigraphy
Analyze in depth conversions, and generate multiple scenarios based on sound velocity
Petrophysics analysis in carbonate environments, and have an in-depth understanding of rock physics
Generate advanced seismic attribute analysis, and use this analysis on large wells, and seismic datasets
Analyze regional stratigraphic and structural framework to determine potential and risk of future prospective regional trends
Interface with multiple levels, including subordinates, peers, supervisors, and venture partners.
As the successful candidate you will have a bachelor degree in geology or geophysics. It is preferred that you have a master or Ph.D. degree, with emphasis on carbonate or clastic seismic stratigraphy, and attribute analysis.You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience exploring for hydrocarbons in clastic or carbonate environments, with structural geology experience for our Red Sea team.Preferably, this experience will have been acquired working for major or independent oil companies globally.Middle East experience is highly desirable.
This is a permanent, residential role in Saudi Arabia that is available on a single or family status and will hold a very competitive, tax free salary.
