New Hope Group is looking for an Exploration Geologist, who will be primarily involved in the collection and interpretation of data from daily field exploration activities. The roster pattern for this role will be 14 days on 14 days off located at various mine sites and exploration projects.
What you will do:
Assist with the co-ordination of exploration operations with a core focus on technical geology, sampling and field data capture
Provide regular feedback to the Exploration Supervisor on all key issues associated with operations, safety and environment
Work closely with the Database and Modelling team
Participate and make a positive contribution to safety within the field teams.
Complete detailed reporting on geological observations and drilling activities.
Assist with commercial and technical evaluations of projects within required timeframes

Experience working in coal exploration, preferably in Queensland and New South Wales basins
Strong communication skills, time management and attention to detail
Supervisory qualifications under either Queensland or New South Wales coal mining legislation will be well regarded
Valid ‘C’ class drivers licence
