Job SummaryOur client, a fast-growing mid sized E & P is searching for a motivated engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in the role of Exploitation Engineer . This individual is required to operate in a high capacity with other experienced technical team members to develop and maintain pool recoveries. This includes but is not limited to, primary and secondary depletion strategies, optimization of existing production and injection, analysis of growth opportunities as well as providing other engineering support to the teams.Under guidance and co-ordination with the Business Unit Manager: (60%) Identify, coordinate and evaluate technical data for depletion strategy planning(30%) Identify, evaluate, and co-ordinate growth opportunities(10%) Evaluation assistance to support various team projectsSpecific - DescriptionsIdentify, coordinate and evaluate technical data for depletion strategy planningWell by well optimization assessmentsCompile, maintain and assess area drill well results (production, reserves, technology)Compile, maintain and optimize opportunity inventoryOptimize & maintain waterflood targetsIdentify, evaluate and co-ordinate growth opportunitiesOptimize the development of existing developed and undeveloped opportunities (infill drilling, extensional drilling, EOR scoping, waterfloods, etc.)Help to initiate and/or co-ordinate waterflood initiatives with reservoir groupEvaluation assistance to support both land sales and drilling opportunities, including production, reserves, costs, risk assessment, economics, and project managementEvaluation assistance to support various team projectsProvide engineering support to various team projects (full scope of engineering)Assist with team budget - production & capital updates, reviews, annual budget, etc.Coordinate regulatory efforts to ensure area complianceSkills and Attributes5-15 years of engineering experience with a reservoir/exploitation focusLooking to join a high energy team and is ready to grow along with the companyExcellent communication skills and can work seamlessly within a multi-disciplinary team (Geology, Operations, Accounting, Reservoir, etc.)A self-starter that is organized and structured in their approach to prioritizing workReservoir engineering experience in oil new and mature oil developmentsWould be an asset to have knowledge in software programsGeoScoutMosaicTechnical Software as required (Petrel, Eclipse, StreamSim, Harmony, Tableau etc.…)We thank all applicants for their interest in applying for this position; however, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.Job Type: Full-timeJob Location:Calgary, ABRequired experience:Reservoir/Exploitation: 5 years
