Harvest Operations Corp. is a diverse energy company based out of Calgary offering exposure to conventional upstream oil and natural gas production and SAGD operations. We are focused on identifying opportunities to create and deliver value with an active development program and a technical approach taken to maximize our assets. Harvest has an immediate opening for a Exploitation Engineer reporting to the Area Manager. This is a permanent position based in Calgary. Key Responsibilities: Project Management

 Act as Project Manager for all drills and development projects;

 Lead, coordinate and present project approvals (technical and capital);

 Primary responsibility for the scheduling and on-time execution of all phases of all development projects;

 This includes surface land, licensing, drilling and completion operations, tie-ins and facility modifications and third-party agreements;

 Consult with Operations and the Production Engineer to ensure that tie-in locations and requirements are fully understood and accurately modeled;

 Ensure that all projects are fully scheduled, with the proper timelines and dependencies in place for each component; Budgeting and Performance Tracking

 Responsible to build the development budget and update the development forecasts as required;

 Components include the drill, complete, equip and tie-in capital, net production uplift by component (including any back-outs), incremental operating costs, royalty production, project timing and targeted reserves addition and/or conversions;

 Primary responsibility for ensuring capital-addition production volume targets are met within the budget each year; Field Development Planning

 Ensure full-cycle, comprehensive, long-term development plans and scenarios for core and strategic properties are developed and documented;

 Responsible to present these plans in clear and well documented formats;

 These include land acquisitions, partner acquisition and consolidation, future multi-year development drilling, facility modifications, marketing and joint interest considerations, future abandonment liabilities and industry infrastructure requirements;

Reservoir Management

 Monitor and evaluate reservoir performance. Identify, develop and oversee optimization and enhancement schemes to improve overall pool recoveries;

 Work closely with geology and production engineering to find workover, recompletion and optimization opportunities;

 Handle well test analyses for well and reservoir performance analyses – identify well test objectives, the necessary pressure and production information, including PVT data and the required analysis, and ensure Production, Operations and Completions understands the need for this data and that the proper procedures occur to accurately collect this data;

Economics and Evaluations

 Responsible for technical and economic viability of development projects, including infill and step out drilling, pool recovery enhancement (primary vs. waterflood and other enhanced recovery techniques) and land and producing property acquisitions;

 Ensure all component costs (drill, complete, equip, tie-ins, facility modifications, third-party arrangements and fees) are accurate and incorporated in project economics;

 Perform reservoir and well decline analysis to realistically predict production rates, declines and recoverable reserves from all new drilling and development projects;

Reserves and Value Management

 Manage the area’s reserves including annual reserves determination of existing assets and reserves determination for acquisitions, divestments, new drills and EOR projects;

 Meet with the Reserves Evaluators each year and ensure they fully understand the properties they’re evaluating, recent and current operational features, and future development plans;

 Ensure the Reserves Evaluators have and use the most current production and operating cost data in their analyses;

 Ensure the Reserves Reports accurately reflect and match our future development plans, especially next year budgeted projects;

Qualifications:

 Engineering degree and membership in APEGGA (or equivalent)

 Minimum of 10 years’ experience, ideally including production and operational roles  Strong English written and oral communication skills

 Strong project and program management skills

 Strong economic and economic modeling skills – proficient in Val Nav  Analytic skills with attention to detail
