Chevron Energy Technology Company’s Reservoir and Production Engineering Department is looking for candidates to join our high-performing & diverse Reservoir Simulation & Optimization Research group.
Chevron Energy Technology Company’s Reservoir and Production Engineering Department is looking for candidates to join our high-performing & diverse Reservoir Simulation & Optimization Research group. The key job responsibilities include:

Develop & execute R&D projects on leading-edge reservoir simulation technologies, such as new formulations, numerical algorithms, EOS, linear and non-linear solver, high performance computing, and geomechanics coupling.
Work closely with development and support groups to deploy the research results into the INTERSECT simulator.
Collaborate with internal and external research organizations on reservoir simulation.

 
Requirements:

Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or related areas with strong knowledge in physics of fluid flow in porous media
Demonstrated experience in advanced reservoir simulation research and/or discrete fracture modeling for conventional and unconventional reservoirs
Direct experience in multi-scale simulation, compositional & thermal simulation, Embedded Discrete-Fracture-Matrix (EDFM) and/or flow-geomechanics coupling  is a plus
Strong software development skills using C++
Good communication skills and work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Experience: 5 years of related research experience
