Under limited review, performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff of the company. As a senior level technician, performs duties with a great deal of autonomy. May be an exempt or nonexempt position. Typically has at least a technical Associates degree or other technical training and at least five years of experience.


The essential functions of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Managing production data and assisting engineers in production data queries as well as providing technical support for other engineering applications.

Generating various daily operations reports as needed.

Build and maintain spotfire projects for Technical Services Team

Work with Geo-Tech or GIS team on creating/maintaining field maps.

Work with Oil and Gas PU, IM, Production Allocation to ensure accurate production reporting.

Work with Engineers on data management of procedures, reports, etc.

Update OFM database as required. Create new projects within OFM for engineers and others as needed.

Quality control review of wellbore data created within OpenWells.

Perform other tasks that may be assigned.


The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. MS Excel, MS Word, Spotfire, and experience with Oil Field Manager.

2. Knowledge of Aries a plus.

3. Knowledge of Allocation systems a plus.

The minimum training and experience needed for this position include the following:

1. B.S. degree preferred

2. Requires minimum of 3-6 years of experience at an oil and gas company
