Role Summary:
BHGE requires a Senior Reservoir Engineer to lead subsurface scope of work and manage multi-disciplined project teams, acting as deputy to the Subsurface Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:
Reservoir engineering review of current field performance
Review of the current simulation models
Interface with the ASP formulation development and core flood teams
coreflood match, Simulation model, and preliminary pilot performance forecast
Development of subsurface concept for ASP pilot
Pilot design optimization
Reservoir surveillance during Pilot and interpretation
History matched simulation model of post pilot performance
Full-field reservoir simulation modelling, including history-matching of water flood and polymer flood phases
Full field modelling to develop a suitable subsurface concept for ASP flood full field implementation
Generate production forecasts under multiple scenarios to account for process and reservoir related uncertainties
Identify subsurface risks and design a monitoring plan for effective mitigation of the risks
Recommend full field development plan
Lead subsurface scope of work and manage multi-disciplined project teams, acting as deputy to the Subsurface Manager.
Provide reservoir engineering input to multi-disciplinary subsurface teams. This will include pilot design, execution and monitoring, field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, and production forecasting for water flood, polymer flood and ASP flood phases.
Conduct reservoir engineering studies using appropriate techniques and technologies including reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, well test analysis, PVT and SCAL data analysis.
Present data, interpretation and reports to internal and external clients either individually or as part of the larger subsurface team.
Advise internal and external clients on reservoir engineering matters, often at a senior level.
Support colleagues by assisting them with reservoir engineering knowledge
Qualifications/Requirements:
MSc or PhD degree in petroleum engineering or equivalent subject.
15+ years in the E&P business, with proven skills in reservoir engineering from either a consultancy or an operator.
9+ years’ supervisory experience. Strong project management skills.
Full understanding of the workings of multi-disciplined reservoir and field development studies.
The candidate should have substantial experience in the following core competencies:
Hands-on expertise in reservoir engineering and a good understanding of petroleum engineering, reservoir modelling and hydrocarbon production systems.
Production forecasting using analogy (reservoir and well), volumetric and performance-based (material balance, reservoir simulation and decline curve analysis) methods
PVT and SCAL data analysis
Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) including chemical EOR
Production monitoring and recovery optimization techniques
Reservoir performance risking and uncertainty
Field development planning
Knowledge of industry standard reservoir engineering software.
Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
Use of Eclipse and/or CMG STARS reservoir simulation software
Operations and well site activities
Fluent written and spoken English.
Good presentation skills.
