Job Title: Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Midland, TX
The primary responsibility of the Reservoir Engineer is to work with other disciplines in a team environment to most efficiently exploit and develop unconventional resource assets, with consideration given to well spacing, landing zone, development order, and lease obligations.
Develop recommendations for asset development plans that are supported by data and economic analysisRecommend collection of reservoir data as appropriate to evaluate reservoirs and enhance future exploitationEvaluate well performance using standard and advanced techniquesMonitor company and offset results. Capture data and analyze results on a continual basis and make recommendations to enhance ongoing asset developmentComplete reserve calculations, production forecasts, and budgeting for assetsPrepare economic assessments on capital projects and prepare periodic technical reviewsEvaluate acquisition and property trade opportunities on an as needed basis
B.S. degree or higher in related engineering disciplineMinimum of 10 years work experience as a reservoir engineerExperience in developing unconventional assets with Permian Basin experience preferredProficient in economic analysis software (Aries preferred) and MS Office SuiteProficient in reserve estimationExperience with Spotfire or other data analytics tools is a plusDemonstrated communication, teamwork and project management skills
