The Engineer Reservoir Sr. provides reservoir engineering expertise to manage and optimize producing assets in the Permian region. This position is primarily responsible for reserve estimation and economic evaluation for prospects, wells, and fields. Devises original technical solutions where necessary. The role requires frequent interaction with multidisciplinary teams. The successful incumbent is expected to lead project teams from prospect to discovery through appraisal and development stages.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect Analysis (internal and external)
Work with geologists and geophysicists to understand the prospect concept and risks
Evaluate offset producing and rock characteristics of targeted objectives
Provide reserve ranges using risk analysis software.
Determine a likely recovery factor range
Determine likely development plans
Perform economic evaluations and sensitivities.
Assist in developing multiyear, region business plans
Supervise acquisition and/or interpret PVT studies
Interpret and/or assist/supervise the occasional pressure transient test
Acquisitions and Divestitures
Identify and evaluate strategic acquisition and/or divestment opportunities
Evaluate and quantify upside drilling potential
Provide economic analysis for drilling, recompletion or workover candidates
Petroleum Engineering Studies
Evaluate on a field or well basis
Integrate pressure transient analyses, material balance calculations, reservoir simulations, decline curve and / or volumetric analyses into reservoir evaluations
Construct economics and present ideas to management and partners.
BS in Petroleum Engineering or Engineering degree with a large amount of reservoir experience
Advanced degree preferred.
10+ years relevant industry experience in reservoir engineering.
Demonstrated success as a reservoir engineer
Expertise in technical applications such as ARIES, Harmony, OFM, Crystal ball, Spotfire
Expertise in reservoir simulation and Nodal analysis is preferred
Competence in MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
Excellent analytical skills

Strong fundamental, working knowledge of reservoir engineering.
Takes full responsibility of reservoir development planning, budgeting and keeps track of key performance indicators during plan execution
