Key Duties/Responsibilities:

The Engineer Reservoir II is a key member of a multi-discipline team adding value to the asset through identifying problems and opportunities requiring reservoir engineering solutions.  Under general supervision, this position recommends and performs reservoir engineering studies, prepares plans and budgets.



  • Provide reservoir engineering support within a multidisciplinary development team consisting of geoscientists, drilling and production engineers, and landmen
  • For prospects, evaluate offset producing and rock characteristics and provide reserve ranges using risk analysis software
  • Run NODAL analysis
  • Assist with likely development plans
  • Perform reservoir engineering studies and economic evaluations to quantify drilling, recompletion, and workover potential within new and existing assets
  • Integrate pressure transient analysis, material balance, decline curve and volumetric analyses into reservoir evaluation
  • Provide technical support for new reserve bookings
  • Assist with log analysis, pressure transient analysis

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a BS Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.


  • 3 or more years of industry-related experience
  • Past work with prospect risk analysis, economics, and some knowledge of offshore operations is a plus.


  • Employee applies general principles and standard techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Job assignments become broader in scope and specializations are not yet developed.
  • Makes decisions of limited scope.
  • Works under general supervision.
