Baker Smith, LLC is searching for a highly motivated Engineer Intern with +1 year of project engineering experience in the oil & gas and industrial markets to continue the growth of our facilities engineering group. As a member of our Facilities Engineering team, you will …
Work within a team of professionals to develop engineering plans and specifications for facilities engineered projects.
Review work of project team to assure quality control and compliance with firm standards.
Prepare or modify reports, computations, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs.
Prepare or modify quantity estimates, construction documents, and cost estimates.
Coordinate project deliverables with project team.
Visit project site to plan, monitor progress and perform other duties per the contract documents.
Participate in proposal efforts.
Communicate changes in workload or project scope with project manager and/or senior project engineer.
May serve as onsite project representative.

Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Civil/Petroleum Engineering and working towards professional engineer (P.E.) license.
Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Will need to communicate clearly with clients and TBS associates.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents.
Ability to operate computer, using technical software which may include computer aided drafting and other applications, spreadsheets, and other business software.
Knowledge of one or more of these subjects is preferred – oil and gas metering facilities, gas compression facilities, liquid pump stations, gas processing, dehydration, heaters, filter separators, linear pipeline, horizontal directional drills and slug catchers, including design criteria, material selection and equipment sizing in compliance with codes and standards
Technical Experiences:
Proven minimum of 1 years of engineering design. Preferably in pipeline or facilities engineering design.
Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CadWorx, Inventor, Solidworks or Civil 3D is a plus
