MuscatThe Reservoir Engineer Advisor is responsible to provide reservoir field development plans in Oman North fields. Also, will be responsible for setting and achieving the appraisal/development program. The Reservoir Engineer Advisor will work closely with multi discipline to develop and evaluate opportunities to conduct well intervention, drilling opportunities, field optimization strategies, data acquisition and depletion options. Other responsibilities include evaluating EOR, developing production forecasts, budget preparation and reserves estimation.

The Reservoir Engineer Advisor responsibilities include but not limited to:

Identify, build and maintain field development plans for Oman North fields/blocks.
Contribute to preparation of technical documentation for various subsurface projects.
Develop production forecasts, budget estimates, and estimate reserves.
Providing field development strategy for new discovered fields.
Evaluate EOR projects.
Mentor/coach reservoir engineers in reservoir engineering.
Assist with organized in house reservoir engineering training and support.
Lead in development of unconventional reservoirs.
Participate in various planning activities including reserves update, budget process, and capital post audits.
Prepare and participate in various technical presentations for Oxy management, partners, and government.


Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of reservoir engineering experience.
Experience in field development plans and reservoir management.
Experience in waterflood and EOR.
Experience in carbonate reservoirs.
Experience in reserves estimation and reserves booking.
Economic evaluation skills; experience using PEEP is desirable.
Excellent PC skills (especially with Microsoft Excel).
Demonstrates good skills with reports, publications, and presentations.
Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills.
