Headquartered in Orem, Utah this privately held private equity company is focused on acquisitions in upstream, midstream, and oilfield services. Summit currently has energy operations in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, New York, and Oklahoma.We are looking for an experienced oil and gas professional who can help our team find, diligence, and acquire energy assets. This Energy Investment Manager will work out of our Orem, Utah headquarters. The position requires a candidate who is both technically astute, and a “deal hound.” This is a great opportunity for someone who is both good at, and loves doing deals.Pay and benefits package will be competitive with the marketplace. The package may include equity participation in projects/assets pursued by Summit.ResponsibilitiesSourcing and evaluating energy acquisitions.Providing the technical expertise necessary to maximize the value of assets currently held by the company.Personal skills necessary to interact well with partners, service providers, peers, support staff, field personnel, and the public.Proficiency in reservoir engineering, including estimating and valuing oil and gas reserves.A willingness to participate in and provide data to company teams tasked with evaluating asset acquisition and development opportunities.Experience in developing prospect packages for sale is a plus.Other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsFive years’ oil and gas engineering experience preferred.Ability to solve problems accurately and exceptional proficiency in interpreting production related data.Ability to be a self-starter and to accomplish tasks in an entrepreneurial environment where there will not be micro-management and company-imposed to-do lists.Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.Proficiency in the use and application of industry specific software such as Aries (published by Landmark Software).EducationBachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in petroleum engineering (or related field).Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 /yearExperience:Petroleum Engineering: 5 years (Preferred)Education:Bachelor's (Preferred)Location:Orem, UT (Preferred)Work authorization:United States (Required)Required travel:25% (Preferred)Benefits offered:Paid time offHealth insuranceHealthcare spending or reimbursement accounts such as HSAs or FSAsRetirement benefits or accounts
