Under the general direction of the Development Lead, is responsible for developing, planning and performing economic analysis on EOR field development plans to maximize the value of Oxy’s unconventional acreage after primary recovery. This position will be responsible for framing multiple EOR development scenarios and associated economics, reserves, and potential risk in production and cash flow, and formulating contingency plans to respond to actual EOR performance

Work within a multi-disciplinary team to incorporate EOR field development best practices to maximize long term asset value
Accountable for conceptual EOR field design, including EOR schema, injectant, processing rate and project phasing and sequencing
Develop and update Enhanced Oil Recovery scenarios into integrated Field Development Plans via Enersight to optimize commercial project strategy
Provide produced and injected fluid forecasts, reserve impacts and economic models to aid in portfolio management and execution phases of the plans and timely business decisions
Solicit project requirements from stakeholders and develop project basis of design to meet requirements
Provide handover of conceptual design to execution team for detailed design and execution
Communicate with external and internal stakeholders as needed
Request assistance from, and provide information to support groups to develop project design

Education: Bachelor’s degree (geoscience and/or pertinent engineering degree).

Experience: Prefer 3 or more years of industry experience with a Reservoir Engineering or Planning background and demonstrated experience with petroleum economic modelling software.

Professional/Technical Knowledge:
A strong track record of innovation
Strong knowledge of petroleum economic analysis
Strong knowledge of Enhanced Oil Recovery mechanisms
Fundamental Knowledge of oil and gas production processes
Proficient use of 3esi Enersight, PEEP and Microsoft Office software including MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel.

Understands key functional work processes within Field Development Plan disciplines
