The successful candidate will possess Bachelor's degree in geology or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for master degree and two years for PhD.
We are targeting 20 years experience with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays including shale or tight gas, with some US experience in unconventional hydrocarbon basins required. We will consider candidates with more or less experience depending on the quality of their experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:
Use geological models to recommend placement of wells and supplementary processes to enhance production.
Identify opportunities for workovers, infill drilling, and multi-well pad optimization
Perform complex geological assignments such as resource assessments and create volumetric calculations to determine reserve estimations.
Document models in written reports and illustrate with cross sections, maps, cross plots, histograms, and summary tables.
Work closely with drilling, production engineering, and reservoir engineering teams and champion operational activities from planning to execution using a Collaborative Work Environment
Evaluates current practices to identify improvement opportunity.
Present methodology & project evaluation to technical management.
Provide recommendations and advise in particular area of expertise.
