Job Description/Scope of Work:This position provides data management support for NextGen frameworks which include Petrel/Studio, Epos, Gocad, and Landmark OpenWorks.

Duties include code development for data integration and data QC using vendor APIs as well as inline SQL to query and update databases;
Applicant should be well versed in C, C++, C# and Java and have a strong understanding of earth science data;
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required;
User-interface design skills are a plus;
Must be able to work in a team environment and share coding responsibilities. Looking for C++, C# and Java Senior Developers with project experience dealing with Reservoir, Seismic data and applications like Petrel, Go cad, Landmark and Epos. Local Houston Candidates only. This is a 3+month contract position with possible extension. Brunel Energy provides specialist personnel to the international oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and construction industries. Our clients are predominantly major operating companies and international engineering or construction companies. Contract 12+ month with possible extension and or perm hire
W2, 1099 or C2C;
Competitive wages and benefit package. Education/Technical Skills (Software Development):
Bachelor Degree- computer science, engineering, mathematics;
At least 5+ years of Programming experience- skills including C, C++, C#, C sharp and Java, understanding of scripting, sockets, SQL experience, and good understanding of the Linux & Windows environment;
Must be able to identify & fix issues within software using vendor devkits (APIs), proprietary data tools, and Linux and Windows environments;
Ability to log and track issues using Remedy and Jira as well as use source control for code development. Experience with user-interface design is a plus;
Learn and uphold Company standards and to provide day-to-day maintenance on various software’s.
Domain Knowledge (Earth Sciences):
Good understanding of seismic, well, and interpretation data for validation in data integration and subsurface workflows.Basic knowledge of the G&G data models for interpretation and earth/reservoir modeling and their use within G&G applications;
Knowledge and/or working experience using the Petrel, OpenWorks, ProSource, Gocad, and/or EPOS suite of applications and data management tools.
Additional Skills:
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with regards to code development using technical data.Ability to generate alternative workarounds, as needed to solve issues, and implement viable solutions. Responsive and customer focused;
Demonstrates ability to independently learn and share solutions;
Soft Skills - Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be a team player, proactive, collaborate well within and across teams, deliver results on time and share knowledge with peers;
Provide communication back to supervisor and management on a regular basis. They will interact with the other members on the team and attend at least one meeting a week with what bugs are reported to each software and they’ll be coming up ways on how to fix it.
Additional knowledge of OpenSpirit, InnerLogix, or any other G&G integration software for cross framework data transfers is a plus;
Master Degree is also a plus;
