ConocoPhillips and its heritage companies have operated in the Permian Basin for almost 100 years. Across New Mexico and Texas, the company holds conventional positions in the Northwest Shelf and Central Basin Platform, and an unconventional position in the Delaware Basin. At year-end 2017, the company held about 1 million net acres across the basin, with net production of 60 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day. ConocoPhillips is committed to being an innovative and environmentally-responsible operator, and the new technologies and practices that it is using in this area exemplify that.
The Permian South East New Mexico/Midland Basin/OBO Development Team is seeking an experienced geologist with a background in working development programs, supporting ongoing drilling operations and characterization of new-entry areas.
Our unconventional assets in the Delaware Basin are one of the company’s primary opportunities for growth. Spanning West Texas and southeastern New Mexico, the company held approximately 87,000 net acres in the Delaware at year-end 2018. The company is well positioned in some of the most-prolific and lowest cost of supply zones, with an active development program underway. ConocoPhillips is committed to being an innovative and environmentally-responsible operator, and the new technologies and practices that we are using in this area exemplify this commitment. The Sand Dunes third operating area is critical to the Permian growth strategy.
