Description

The Delaware Development team is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the position of Reservoir Engineer. The successful candidate will support the Delaware development program, work closely with the Reservoir Characterization team on technical content and maintain a strong working relationship with production operations as a highly-integrated team member.

Responsibilities may include:
Collaborate with integrated team to ensure successful execution of development program (drilling, completions, facilities, projects, production, regulatory, land, gas and crude marketing)
Ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place to mitigate potential disruptions
Perform and collaborate with the Permian Reservoir Performance team on subsurface and well performance studies as needed
Take ownership and facilitate integrated planning to ensure timely and successful execution on pilot/data acquisition wells
Expand and assist in maintaining a detailed drilling inventory
Collaborate with other Permian development teams to develop and share best practices
Knowledge share across ConocoPhillips unconventional reservoirs
Oversee cross-functional team meetings on execution progress and effectively communicate and track follow up items
Prepare production reports/forecasts, EUR determination, reserves analysis and booking using analytical and simulation models when applicable
Prepare Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs) for wells in core area of responsibility
Support LRP process
Support Delaware program wide technical studies and/or initiatives
Qualifications

Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, other related technical discipline or foreign equivalent
3+ years of experience in petroleum engineering
3+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
Willing to travel 10% of the time
Preferred:
5+ years of direct experience as a Reservoir and/or Petroleum Engineer
Experience in the following:
CDQ / Decision & Risk Analysis
Unconventional reservoir development
Well performance analysis
Volumetric analysis
Decline curve analysis
Economic analysis
Probabilistic Distributions and analysis
Reserves
Implementation of exploitation projects
Reservoir simulation
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Experience using PEEP economic evaluation software, OFM (Oil Field Manager), RTA, Spotfire, Enersight and others
Proven analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, good judgment, and decision-making capabilities
Actively seeks out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals
