White Star Petroleum is accepting applications for the full-time position of Corporate Reserves Engineer.

The Corporate Reserves Engineer will serve as an integral member of the Finance department with responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strong experience in reserves management and sound understanding in SEC, SPE/PRMS, and SPEE reserves classification and quantification
Coordinates quarterly updates and preparation of year-end reserves reports
Manages preparation of corporate reserves data and presentations for internal review with the Executive team and Board of Directors
Responsible for reserves delivery for semi-annual borrowing base redetermination process
Work closely with bank engineers and third-party reserves auditors to support the borrowing base
Develops and implements strategy direction necessary for the continuous improvement of corporate reserves activities and processes
Maintains knowledge and skills of current and new reservoir engineering and reserves management best practices
Facilitates reserve estimation, present value calculations and reserve reporting process
Track changes in reserves, expenses and future development costs
Coordinate work-flow and processes with reservoir engineers, accounting, treasury, operations and management
Manage economic evaluation and look-back process
Develop and track corporate reserve and capital statistics, research competitors, prepare corporate peer group benchmarking comparisons, assist with strategic planning
Perform evaluations of acquisitions opportunities
Involved in the capital budgeting process and creating corporate model inputs
Willingness to assist with other tasks of the Finance department, including strategic planning, preparation of Board of Directors material and A&D evaluations, as needed
Work closely with Reservoir Engineering Manager and Reservoir Engineering team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or Professional Engineer (PE) license
3-10 years of experience in reservoir and/or corporate reserves engineering
Strong reservoir evaluation and corporate planning experience is highly desired
Strong leadership skills as well as the ability to mentor and develop a team
