Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a Construction Manager/Quality Assurance Geologist to join our project team in Cartersville, GA. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing construction management and quality assurance oversight on a grout curtain construction project near Cartersville, Georgia. The project is anticipated to last for 12 months. Key Responsibilities  Promote and develop teamwork within Sub-Contractor QC personnelEnsure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniquesReview the work progress on daily basisEnsure daily, weekly and monthly data input is accomplished in a timely and accurate fashionMotivate, trains and mentors subordinate staff assigned to his/her tasks or projects; facilitates teamwork to achieve maximum results. Understands, applies and oversees safety requirements in the fieldManages and communicates results, budget, and schedule information to the project manager and other appropriate operations managementRequires work at a remote site around construction equipment and drilling rigs

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience on large civil construction projects requiredBachelors Degree required; Masters Degree desirableComputer skills using Microsoft applicationsMust be a safety leader and a self-starterDemonstrated ability to solve complex problemsDemonstrated task and project management skillsDemonstrated maturity in judgment, initiative and client relationsSkill in documenting and assessing field conditions, RFIs and change ordersAble to manage sub-contractors and manpower and delegate tasks to complete goals, objectives and schedulesMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to establish effective internal and external working relationships
