Description

Incumbent is a petroleum engineer who works under minimal supervision from Senior Petroleum Engineers. Follows established policies, practices and procedures. Senior Engineers will assist incumbent on complex engineering issues. Works with Engineering Technicians. Works with bankers in developing business relationships and assists in collateral identification for taking mortgages. Documents evaluation results in memorandums that clearly summarize the maximum recommended loan value, estimated economics, key assumptions, downside risks and quality associated with the specific oil and gas properties.
Incumbent conducts independent, comprehensive oil and gas reserve and economic evaluations for both prospective and existing customer loan requests and borrowing base reviews in accordance with the bank’s lending and pricing policies.
Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in related Engineering field.
Incumbent typically has at least 5 years experience in estimating oil and gas reserves and running economics.
Understands the PRMS designations of reserves and how to properly classify oil and gas reserves into their respective deterministic reserve categories.
Is familiar with the use of standard economic software in the oil and gas industry, e.g., Aries / PHDWin.
Is proficient in the use of Excel modeling.
Is proficient in technical writing.
