Position: Chief Reservoir Engineer
The Dahill Group has been engaged to conduct a search for a
Chief Reservoir Engineer for a public company with an enterprise value of $5
billion located here in Denver.
Chief corporate technical expert in reservoir engineering
that ensures technical advancement and reservoir engineering best practices
across all regions and assets for the
company. Responsible for maintaining a technical advantage for the corporation
relative to its peers. Assists in strategic growth and evaluating new venture
or acquisition opportunities. Helps manage reservoir software and promotes and
assists in the mentoring and integration of disciplines to maximize asset
value. Position is recognized throughout
the company and industry as a technical expert within multiple disciplines and
is fully functional in multi-disciplinary approaches.
Must have 8-12 years of experience as a
petroleum or chemical engineer working for an E&P; company.
M.S. degree in petroleum engineering is highly desirable.
Demonstrated strong conceptual understanding of
basic reservoir flow processed and rock mechanics in unconventional well
developments, reservoir/ completions experience with a leading unconventional
operator is preferred.
Skilled in utilizing holistic reservoir
engineering toolkit, including advanced production analysis(RTA), simulation,
decline analysis, data science, modeling and volumetrics.
Promote and guide integration of reservoir
engineering analysis with other disciplines including, completion design and
geo -sciences to further play understanding and well improvement
Develop or modify reservoir engineering
workflows to increase optimization of assets particularly in regards to
spacing, completions, and lateral placement.
Strong communication and mentorship skills.
Leverage industry network and knowledge to provide
company with a technical advantage.
A technical leadership role with the ability to
influence, improve and grow the company's execution and performance in the
development of our resource plays.
Strong fundamental understanding of PVT behavior
and valid fluid sampling techniques. EOR experience a plus.
PetE, ChemE, ME degree or similar.
Technical expert in multiple basins/plays types
Expert understanding of reservoir engineering
disciplines including decline curve analysis, rate transient analysis,
volumetric, recoveries, fluid behavior, analytical history matching and flow
Solid knowledge / experience relating to
geochemistry, operations, geological interpretation, well data integration, petro
physics and seismic attributes.
