BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
Devon’s Business Development / A&D; group is looking for a Reservoir Technologist. Key responsibilities will be supporting the team by helping the Business Development / A&D; Engineering Team run and extract peep economics, build Aries databases, assist engineers in setting up data for analysis, and executing conversions between Aries and other databases. This includes asisting with reservoir engineering duties, project economic evaluations, reporting, forecasting and applying skill and judgment to solve highly complex problems under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to transition into the team quickly and support the group’s existing processes. Additional opportunities exist to improve processes through building procedures for best practices and creating templates for regular way workflow for use between both technical and business development teams.

EDUCATION
Bachlor degree preferred, but considerable industry experience may be used in place of degree

EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 7 years of related industry experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide highly complex technical support to the business development reservoir engineering team in reservoir performance analysis, forecasting, project economic evaluations, and business performance analysis
Power user of Aries (ability to work in Access Database back-end) and ability to convert various databases into an Aries database
Knowledge of IHS and associated products
Proficient in manipulating and linkage of large amounts of data between databases (Access, Excel)
Power user of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Desire flexibility to support engineers on multiple projects
High attention to detail and familiarity with QC/QA routines to check databases
Experience and ability to lead, mentor, and teach less experienced engineering techs
Team first attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to take direction from multiple project managers and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Independent worker, self-motivated to take ownership of workflow
Oversee maintenance, updating, and organization of technical databases and files systems
Lead the building and maintenance of economic evaluations
Must have a strong background in reviewing and organizing well record files
Prepare and deliver presentations as required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Experience working in oil and gas company, reserve auditor firm and/or A&D; group
Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes and practice safe work habits at all times
Advanced level computer skills
Able to work independently, to prioritize projects and make progress on multiple priorities concurrently
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi disciplinary team to achieve project related goals
Technical experience with PEEP, Petra, Harmony, Spotfire
Strong verbal and written communication skills
