Reports To: Manager, Commercial and Economics, Asia Pacific

Summary:
Monitors, analyzes, and manages commercially significant developments within company Asia Pacific's business portfolio. Responsible for assessing opportunities and commercial arrangements through coordination with company Asia-Pacific Exploration/New Ventures, Project, Operations, Subsurface, Marketing, and Finance teams. Participates with negotiating teams in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.

Core Responsibilities

Economic Analysis/Existing Projects: Prepare technical and economic assessments on existing properties in the Asia Pacific Business Unit in line with company’s established policies and practices and prepare recommendations for management review. Keep apprised of ongoing updates to each project's operation status and any potential changes to fiscal, tax and commercial terms.
Long Range Plan - Work with the various groups in the APBU to gather data for the various Exploration and Development LRP submittals throughout the year and effectively review and communicate results to management and Corporate staffs. Coordinate closely with Calgary Planning group to update Corporate LRP Price Deck and FX Rate Forecast. Review Budget Model and Palantir and make necessary changes to ensure algorithms in the Budget models are calculating correctly for all assets and are aligned with agreed AP Asset & Regional Structure.
Reserve Economics - Work with Reserves Group to coordinate and prepare the various economic requirements for the Year-end Reserves Economics and Year-End Contingent Resources Economics. Work with Corporate on implementing the new Mosaic Reserves model for AP and ensure algorithms in Mosaic are aligned with the Budget Model for all assets.

Requirement:

Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Geology or Geophysics.
Experience in Energy Business or Finance with economic and commercial responsibilities
Strong Computer Experience in Spreadsheets, Databases, and Data Analytics
2-5 years proven experience in running asset economics and data analytics for an oil and gas or Finance Company
2-5 years working with and building Spreadsheets and Databases; program coding is a plus
