ABOUT THE ROLE
AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting position available for someone wanting to pursue a career in Government. As the successful applicant, you will:
Be employed by AFL SportsReady
Work on-site with Department of Justice and Regulation
Study for an accredited qualification: Certificate III in Business
This position is part of the Youth Employment Scheme (YES) which offers Victorians aged 15 to 24 paid work experience to develop skills and gain qualifications that can lead to ongoing employment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete general administrative functions such as answering telephones, data processing and filling
Assist and provide support to staff on various tasks and projects
Create and maintain various records and correspondence—both manual and electronic
General word processing and data entry
Liaise with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Department
Assist with Consumer Affairs investigations
Assist with Residential Tenancy matters including investigations
Other duties as required
Written Communication: Creates basic documents using clear, concise and grammatically correct language in required format
Verbal Communication: Actively listens and provides clear information in a polite and considerate manner
Computer Skills: Effectively uses computer packages (such as Microsoft Word) for basic word processing, email, and internet functions
Interpersonal Skills: Delivers information to team members, supervisors or customers in a polite, considerate and assured manner
Problem Solving: Uses understanding of local processes and practices in solving work problems, seeking advice from supervisor where necessary
Service Excellence: Demonstrates commitment in undertaking own duties and supporting the work of the area to the best of their ability
This position requires a National Police Check. If successful, AFL SportsReady will assist in your application.
As the successful candidate, you will receive:
National Training Wage Award ($21,500 – $30,000) + 9.5% Superannuation
Fully funded qualification
People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
